Pulling inspiration from the movement of movements Pulling inspiration from the movement of movements - protest marching and taking steps, literally and figuratively, toward progress, The Nike: Empower Forward brand identity utilized components from recent events, guiding us toward racial equity and equality. 
The stenciled letterforms are derived from DIY civil rights signage, while the grit textures represent perseverance for long-term goals.

We had the honor of designing the brand strategy, We had the honor of designing the brand strategy, naming, and identity for Nike's Empower Forward: Juneteenth Week Celebration.
Our brand design team supported all of Nike’s Social Community Impact initiatives in alignment with Nike’s Black Community Commitment and Made to Play.
This week, in celebration of Juneteenth, Nike is bringing together nonprofits local to NYC on 6/21 for an evening of introductions and networking. Following the nonprofit event, Nike will recognize and celebrate a day of basketball and recreation on Hoops Day on 6/23, capping the week off with an n person block party focused on self-care on 6/25.
